SAMS Delivers Medical Aid for Ukraine

Medical aid enters Ukraine.

We’re proud to share some good news about SAMS members coordinating efforts to deliver medical relief to Ukraine and the refugees flooding into Poland and other nearby countries. Aid agencies identify primary care as one of the most pressing needs.

How they’re helping

iRemedy joined Air Canada, disaster logistics non-profit Airlink, relief organization Project C.U.R.E., and freight forwarder Flexport to provide medical and trauma supplies to a Ukrainian hospital.

AmerisourceBergen and Teva Pharmaceuticals were part of the humanitarian relief flight that landed in Warsaw to deliver 76 tons of critical medical aid for Ukraine.

Teva donated 27 million doses of medicines in more than 1 million packages of antibiotics and other essential medicines for Ukrainian infants and children.

Amneal provided more than $50,000 to Americares, a longtime partner that is actively coordinating large-scale shipments of medicine and relief supplies as well as mobilizing emergency medical teams for Ukraine. Working with organizations like Americares and Direct Relief, Amneal has matched several of their products to the list of critically needed medicines in Ukraine.
